 Ben was born in Watford, Hertfordshire in 1977. He attended Ridge Street and Callowland art colleges in 1995 where he gained his Diploma. Ben sold his work through other galleries for many years, but in 2003 he decided to take charge, starting a market stall in St Albans with an old friend from college. It was here that Ben was able to deal directly with the public and achieve the levels of customer satisfaction that he had always thought critical. The success of the stall was such that it prompted him to set up his own studio and gallery. So, in 2006, Original Canvases was born. A working studio and gallery where customers can browse the ever changing stock, or discuss in detail their specific commission requirements. This tailor made approach to commissions has served Ben well and his sold works (and happy customers!) now number in the thousands. Ben has work in the UK, USA, Italy, France, Spain, South Africa, Dubai and even as far away as Australia. |
